Award Winning Chilli

Well naebody likes a boaster but we are so proud of winning both prizes at the inaugural Great Western Chilli Cook-Off we felt we had to say something!

Organised by our dear friends down at Lupe Pintos Delicatessen, The Great Western Chilli Cook off stood ten of the best bars and restaurants in the Great Western road area against each other to show their chilli skills and raise over £2400 for various local charities. We would like to thank all gringos who voted for us in the public vote and high fives all round for the generous donations for charity. We also won the judges vote and were complimented on the originality of the slow roasted pulled pork chilli – which is now our best seller.

Using fresh local pork, we marinade in herbs, sugars and spices for at least 36 hours to allow the meat to soak up all the flavours before we slow roast for a good 4 – 6 hours on a low heat so the pork remains tender and moist before we start to pull it and blkend it to make the West End’s best chilli
